What is pupil premium funding?
Pupil premium is additional funding for schools that is to be used to raise the attainment of children in receipt of free school meals, have a parent in the forces or are have or have been in local authority care. Historically, across the country, these children achieve lower attainment scores when compared to those children who are not these groups.
Our funding is prioritise to assist in :
- raising the attainment of those pupils who attracted the pupil premium funding who were admitted to the school not achieving at age-related expectations
- ensuring the accelerated progress of our more able pupils who attract the funding
- removing individual barriers to learning such as health issues within the family and poor attendance rates.
In 2015/16 our funding was £182,120.
In 2016/17 our funding was £123,817.
In 2017/18 our funding was £133,256
In 2018/19 our funding is allocated to be £172,920
